Power engineering and power transmission and Transformation Engineering seem to be related to the power industry, but the construction qualifications required for these two kinds of engineering construction belong to different sequences of construction enterprise qualifications. 1. Different types of contracting: power engineering construction needs general contracting qualification of power engineering construction, which belongs to general contracting sequence; power transmission and transformation engineering construction needs professional contracting qualification of power transmission and transformation engineering, which belongs to professional contracting sequence.

Power engineering refers to the projects related to the production, transmission and distribution of electric energy, including thermal power generation, hydropower generation, nuclear power generation, wind power generation, solar energy and other energy generation, transmission and distribution projects and their supporting projects. Power engineering is a general concept, power transmission and transformation is only a part of it.

2. There are different grades: the general contracting qualification of power engineering construction is divided into special grade, first grade, second grade and third grade; the professional contracting qualification of power transmission and transformation engineering is divided into first grade, second grade and third grade. 3. Subcontracting authority is different: general contracting refers to contracting the whole project, professional contracting refers to contracting a part of the project. After winning the bid, the power general contractor can subcontract the power transmission and transformation project to the power transmission and transformation construction unit, but the power transmission and transformation construction unit cannot subcontract any more, unless it is subcontracting labor operation.
