For power transformation and distribution stations on duty day and night, it is advisable to set up rest rooms and drainage infrastructure for water supply system. Sufficient safety net distance and operator maintenance channel shall be reserved for electrical control devices such as transformer, high and low voltage switch cabinet.

2. It is easy to get in and out of the line. If it is a high voltage overhead incoming line, the high voltage distribution room should be located at the incoming line side. In general, different rectangular bare buses can be used. Therefore, the installation position of the transformer should be close to the low-voltage distribution room. Low voltage distribution should be located at the outlet side.

3. Ensure the security of operation information. The doors of high and low voltage distribution room and capacitor of power distribution project shall be opened towards duty room or outward. When the substation is designed with this double-layer structure, the transformer should be set at the bottom. When there are many high voltage control capacitor banks, they should be installed in a separate room.

4. The substation installed with electric power shall be equipped with facilities to prevent rain, snow and small animals from entering the room from the lighting room.
